The IMS determines the conditions and requirements to be implemented by factories in order to ensure accuracy of measurement devices used in all stages of production. For certain product groups the certification is mandatory (see here for details). If the certification is not mandatory, manufacturers can choose to implement the system as an option.

There is no on-site audit necessary for the IMS certification. The certification will be granted upon a successful document review confirming that rules and regulations set by the IMS are implemented and followed.

The fixed price for IMS is currently 3,600 AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) excl. tax, which equals approximately 866 Euro, but can vary based on the exchange rate. The price is set per facility that needs certification.
